nutshellwords: Any Advice???

Hello everyone!

I need some advice. I crocheted a ball-shaped animal last week, then decided to make another one this week. I used the same pattern and yarn, but the second ball came out smaller by what seemed like 1-2 rounds. When I counted, they had the same number of rounds and the same number of stitches also per round. I’m thinking I must have pulled too tightly in the second one. Can anyone explain how this could have happened? :(

Thank you!

Row 1: Sk first 2 chs, (2 hdc), hdc in next 21 chs, hdc2tog. (24 sts)

Row 2: Ch 2, turn. Work in BLO, except work in both loops for the first and last stitch of the row. Hdc2tog, 21 hdc evenly, (2 hdc). (24 sts)
Row 3: Ch 2, turn. Work in BLO, except work in both loops for the first and last stitch of the row. (2 hdc), 21 hdc evenly, hdc2tog. (24 sts)
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 until you have 42 rows (or until the long edge reaches your desired unstretched-hat circumference).

kirstyandstuff: What am I doing wrong?

Submitted by kirstyandstuff: Okay so, I’m hoping some of you guys can help me xD I’m making baby booties; the pattern has a straight seam going up the side where the rounds are joined. My seam veers off though, and I keep finding that although I’ve finished the round in terms of how many stitches there -should- be, I still have stitches left to crochet into before I reach the start of the round. (So I’ve added stitches somehow, but the round before was fine, and I havent inc’d or anything…) Help? What am I doing wrong? D:

About

Welcome, and thank you for joining us! :) My goal for we-love-crocheting.tumblr.com is to be very community-focused. It’s not going to be all about me, my experiences, and my finds. I really just wanted to create a place where we could all meet each other, support each other (since I KNOW many of us need that extra push to finally finish our projects… at least I do), and generally share our love for this craft. This blog is not just mine, it’s OURS! :)

PLEASE BE SUBMISSION-HAPPY (a.k.a. please share lots of content with us)! Photos, tips, advice, WIPs, questions, videos, stories, patterns, tutorials, etc. Whether it’s something you’ve created yourself, or something you just really admire, please share!

Happy crocheting, my friends.

Come and visit often! :)
