FREE CANDY! (kinda…)
Do you want a free candy corn crochet pattern???
I made a few of these little sweeties last year, and I’ll squeeze in some time to create an amigurumi pattern if several of you want this Halloween treat. :) Comment, reblog, and/or ‘Like’ to vote yes!<3 Josephine @ A Morning Cup of Jo Creations (Facebook, Tumblr, Etsy, Craftsy, Ravelry)

As many of you know, my vision for We-Love-Crocheting is to create a community of crochet lovers on Tumblr, a community that welcomes and unites crocheters of all skill levels. This is a place where we can all look for inspiration, photos, patterns, and new friends! :) I would LOVE to enhance your experience in this blog community, so I now reach out to you with a new feature!
Currently, in order to post something, you have to go through this long process of submitting your post and waiting for me to upload it…
Wouldn’t We-Love-Crocheting feel more like a community if you could directly post your photos, questions, patterns, and tips onto this blog?!
If you would like to share your work and/or others’ work more freely, please privately message me with your email address and I will make you a We-Love-Crocheting author! This will allow you to post directly onto our community blog, and your Tumblr icon will be featured along with our community blog icon on every one of your posts. :D
I hope that this new feature will lead to a much more engaging and exciting experience for us all!
See you in my ask box very soon, and happy crocheting!

Little Gingerbread Man - Crochet Pattern

Submitted by nutshellwords: I made this pattern based on the Lion Brand pattern, though my version is smaller (6 inches was a bit too large for little gifts and ornaments).
Approximately 4 inches in height
Head
Rd 1: Magic loop, 6 sc (6)
2: Inc around (12)
3: (1 sc, inc), 6 times (18)
4: (2 sc, inc), 6 times (24)
5-7: sc around (24)
8: (2 sc, dec), 6 times (18)
9: (1 sc, dec), 6 times until closed (12)
Body
Rd 1: Magic loop, 6 sc (6)
2: Inc around (12)
3: (1 sc, inc) around, 6 times (18)
4: (2 sc, inc) around, 6 times (24)
5-13: sc around (24)
14: (1 sc, dec) around (24)
15: (1 sc, dec) around (16)
16: decrease around until sealed
Arms (Make 2)
Rd 1: Magic loop, 6 sc (6)
2: inc around (12)
3-4: sc around (12)
5: (1 sc, dec) around (8)
6: dec around until sealed
Legs (Make 2)
Rd 1: Magic loop, 6 sc (6)
2: inc around (12)
3-5: sc around (12)
6: (1 sc, dec) around (8)
7: dec until sealed
Join everything together by sewing, attach 2 beads for eyes, and felt / sequins for the cheeks, mouth and buttons.
I was lazy, so I did not do color-switching anymore for the arms and legs. To add white icing, take white yarn and sew around the arms and legs until you form distinct lines of icing.
For the ribbon, simply tie white yarn around the neck of the gingerbread man.
To turn this into an ornament, simply place a thick string or ribbon through the topmost part of the head using a needle and close the loop.
Enjoy!
