Crochet Pattern: Minion Beanie
Do you still remember the very 1st sock monkey beanie I crocheted for my Korea trip early this year? You can click “Here" for a little recap. Big thanks to Sarah, Founder of RepeatCrafterMe for her generosity in sharing all her beautiful crafts to the world, I was able to make this Minion Beanie with some simple modification from her sock monkey hat crochet pattern that she shared “Here" for Free.
This minion beanie fits an adult’s head ranging approximately 54cm to 59cm. Thank you Sarah for sharing your wonderful work, if it wasn’t for your patterns, I wouldn’t be able to crochet this beanie. All credits goes to YOU! :)
Are you ready to crochet your very own minion beanies? Let’s begin!
Look who’s here to say “Hello” again? :)
Yes, it’s none other than the crazy minion! Since we can never get enough of these hilarious minions, why not transform them into something wearable so we could wear them out? I’m so excited to show you my latest custom order that I’ve finally completed. I named them The Family of 4 + 1. Don’t they look so cute together? :)
These dolls were made in resemblance to Janice’s family which include her as the mother, her husband as the father, her 2 children (elder sister and younger brother) and not forgetting their precious little pup Schnauzer. Janice has always been a wonderful and loyal follower of my crochet crafts ever since I started my craft journey.
A few months ago, she was hoping if I could crochet little customised amigurumis of her entire family as a surprise gift for her husband on Father’s Day. However, due to too many custom orders on hand, I told her that I couldn’t make them on time. Janice was really patient with me and planned to give these dolls to her family on Christmas instead. This means I have more than half a year to complete her dolls.
Tadaa! They’re finally completed. :) I had a blast making these customized dolls the past month! Every detail, from the colours, to the hairstyles, clothes, accessories were all instructed by Janice. It brought so much satisfaction seeing these amigurumis slowly come together.
I picked up a couple of new crochet techniques such as crocheting in spirals, experimenting new hairstyles for the dolls and crocheting using front loops and back loops. I’m so glad that this project allowed me to expand my crochet skills.
The Family of 4 + 1 have safely landed in Janice’s hands 2 days ago. She exclaimed how cute they are and doubt that she could wait until Christmas before she shows her family this special gift.
Janice if you’re reading this, thank you for believing in my work and appreciating my handmade crafts. And to EVERYONE OF YOU, Thank you for taking time to read my blog and embark the little yarn adventures with me! You have no idea how much this means to me. THANKS A MILLION! :)
P.S: Don’t forget to join us in our Halloween CAL contest if you haven’t done so. CAL ends 1st November 2013. Full details can be found “Here”.
Till next time!

One of the most popular responses was the question “How do I calculate yarn?” So I thought it would be a good idea to make it into a guide, a free guide.
Hello lovely people, how have you been? I hope all of you have been enjoying what you see on my Blog/Facebook page/Instagram. Thank you for being such awesome friends and joining us in our little yarn adventures. Before I move on to other exciting projects, here’s one final compilation of the Lil’ Despicable Me Creations that I’ve been working on for the past 2 months. Introducing them once again from left to right: Lil’ Minion, Lil’ Agnes and Lil’ Fluffy Unicorn. Seems like these lovable characters can never get out of my WIP list. I’ve made 3 sets of Lil’ Agnes(s), 3 sets of Lil’ Minions and the 2nd Fluffy unicorn is currently in the works. I’m definitely not complaining. :) These are all requests from amazing people around me that love the Despicable Me movies and appreciate handmade crafts. It has been an honour for me fuse them together.
I have to admit that it is always a little difficult to part with these handmade creations after many hours and days perfecting them. But nothing beats the satisfaction when someone receives them with genuine appreciation and smiles.
What can I say, the fun never ends. I’ve provided these 3 Crochet Patterns for FREE so YOU can join in the fun too! I know many of you have started working on them. For those of you who hasn’t and would love to, the crochet patterns links are provided below.

Crochet Pattern: Lil’ Fluffy Unicorn (Despicable Me)
After making Lil’ Minion and Lil’ Agnes, many of you have been asking for Agnes’s fluffy unicorn. I have to agree, Agnes will not be complete without her awesome unicorn companion. So here you go, as promised.
Lil’ Fluffy is approximately 12cm tall (15cm including the horn) and 16cm wide. Make this little one to go together with your Despicable Me set, an amazing handmade gift for all Despicable Me and unicorn lovers. I had a lot of fun creating this little one and now it’s your turn. :)
Are you ready? Let’s begin!
Look who’s there?
I’m sure this little one doesn’t need much introduction. :) Say hi to Lil’ Fluffy. Don’t you think that it’s so fluffy that you’re gonna die? Oh no, you wouldn’t want to die just yet because Lil’ Fluffy’s crochet pattern will be up on my blog within the next 24 hours. Best of all, it’ll be Free! Yay! You wouldn’t want to miss it if you’re a huge fan of fluffs, would you? :) Stick around.

After missing in action for about a month, I’m back with some new things to share with all of you! One of it is this lovely wedding dolls that I completed last week. This pair of wedding dolls were made specially for Keith and Yuan Yee, the lovely couple that invited me to their wedding celebration last Friday (6th September 2013). I wanted to give this newly wed something unique for their special occasion, so I did what I do best (which is crocheting) and I made them these cute customised wedding dolls. :) As you can see from the top right picture, the dolls were made in resemblance to the couple’s wedding outfits on the invitation card. What a stunning looking wedding invitation where it shows the gorgeous couple’s wedding photo taken in a timeless romantic country, Venice/Milan. :)
Keith is Jimmy’s Brother and it was such a privilege to witness Keith and Yuan Yee’s special celebration. If I were to use one word to describe their wedding, it’ll be Perfect! The whole wedding was so enjoyable right from the start till the end. The whole set up was so pretty! They kept their decor simple yet elegant, with white rose petals covering the aisle, super well-done video montage, awesome live music to keep us company throughout the night and the super gorgeous/talented sister accompanied by her boyfriend as the emcees of the night. The food was really delicious too. I think most of us that were there found the photo booth really fun. The photo booth was located at the corner of the ballroom where guests could get their photos taken as many times as you wish and get them printed instantly. It’s really cool! Many fun props were provided to spice up our photos to make it more fun and crazy. I can’t help but to go back to the photo booth twice. The guy that sat beside me had his photos taken probably more than 10 times! Lol. These photos are going to be great souvenirs and memories. :)
I love happy occasions! Wishing Keith and Yuan Yee a blissful marriage. May all your days be filled with love and happiness.
P.S: These Wedding Dolls were modified from my Lil’ Wedding Dolls Crochet Pattern that is available for sale, “Here”.
